Year-end appeal: Please make a donation to the OEIS Foundation to support ongoing development and maintenance of the OEIS. We are now in our 61st year, we have over 378,000 sequences, and we’ve reached 11,000 citations (which often say “discovered thanks to the OEIS”).

EXAMPLE
a(1) = 4; there is one primitive Heronian triangle with perimeter A096468(1) = 12, [3,4,5] and 4 is the middle side length.
a(6) = 23; there are two primitive Heronian triangles with perimeter A096468(6) = 36, [9,10,17] and [10,13,13]. The sum of the middle side lengths is then 10 + 13 = 23.
