This sequence is actually somewhat interesting, but might not be well-defined. To understand what is going on look at the Example figure in A140485. It is not clear to me that at some future point, there could be more values in the first column (or even values that extend further to the left). - Sean A. Irvine, Apr 09 2026

As the first differences of A140485 are known to become periodic and thus have a bounded maximum value of 8, it is also known that no more values are to be expected in the columns. Nevertheless, the definition is problematic, as the alignment of the columns in the diagram seems to be motivated by visualization, and it is not clear how this can be defined by a consistent rule here. - Thomas Scheuerle, Jun 04 2026
