What if I have an idea for new sequences

From OeisWiki

  • If you have an idea for a new sequence or a family of sequences, you could either submit them to the OEIS, or perhaps send a message about them to the Sequence Fans Mailing List.
  • If you don't have a specific sequence in mind, but just a general idea for new sequences, work out the simplest cases, and see if they are already in the OEIS (see above). If they are not in the OEIS, the next step could be to send a message to the Sequence Fans Mailing List asking for help in computing your sequences.
  • Please read the page Overview of the contribution process for more information.
  • If you want to submit many sequences, consider submitting just the first (or the first two or three) at first, to work out the preferred format with the editors. Once they are approved, mimic the format of the approved sequence(s) as closely as possible with your remaining submissions to simplify the process.
