Younes Nikdelan is an Iranian mathematician, who currently works as an assistant professor at "Instituto de Matemática e Estatísticas (IME)" in the "Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) ", Brazil. He finished his PhD in "Instituto nacional de Matemática Pura e Aplicada (IMPA)", Brazil in 2014 under supervision of Hossein Movasati with the thesis entitled "Darboux-Halphen-Ramnujan vector field on a moduli of Calabi-Yau manifolds". He did MSc in pure mathematics in the Department of Mathematics of Tarbiat Modares University of Iran under supervision of S. M. B. Kashani in the area of Differential Geometry with dissertation entitled "The Study of Lorentzian 3-Dimensional Heisenberg Lie Group". Before starting to work at UERJ, during October 2014 till May 2015, he was doing post-doctoral research in "Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ)", Brazil with Bruno Scardua. His research interests are Complex Geometry and Number theory, in particular modularity of Calabi-Yau manifolds.
