Yeow Meng Chee received the B.Math. degree in computer science and combinatorics and optimization, and the M.Math. and Ph.D. degrees in computer science from the University of Waterloo, Waterloo, ON, Canada, in 1988, 1989, and 1996, respectively.

Currently, he is a Professor in the Department of Industrial Systems Engineering and Management, and Associate Vice President of Innovation and Enterprise at the National University of Singapore. Prior to this, he was Professor in the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, and Interim Dean of Science at the Nanyang Technological University.

His research interest lies in the interplay between combinatorics and computer science/engineering, particularly combinatorial design theory, coding theory, extremal set systems, and electronic design automation.
