Jun Kawahara was born in Osaka, Japan, in 1981. He received the B.S. degree in science and the M.E. and Ph.D. degrees in informatics from Kyoto University, Japan, in 2004, 2006 and 2009, respectively. In 2009-2010, he worked at Kyoto University as a Researcher. He joined the JST ERATO Minato Discrete Structure Manipulation System Project as a Researcher in 2010-2012. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor at Nara Institute of Science and Technology. His research interests include theoretical computer science and discrete algorithms.
