User:John Kieffer

John Kieffer (https://ece.umn.edu/directory/kieffer-john/) received the Phd degree in Mathematics from the University of Illinois Urbana in 1970. During 1970-1986, he served on the faculty of Missouri S & T University. Starting in 1986, he served on the faculty of University of Minnesota Twin Cities, where he became Professor Emeritus in 2011. His research is mostly in the areas of information theory and ergodic theory. He is a Fellow of the IEEE.
