Interested in recurrent sequences and their history. In particular, the Fibonacci and Lucas numbers.
Most of my academic publications can be found on Google Scholar
Contributed my first sequence to the OEIS in April 2003.
I found out the value of the OEIS while working on the mathematical analysis of a card trick, where a particular sequence of numbers appeared. A search in the OEIS came up with exactly the same sequence, but in the field of nuclear magnetic resonance. Turns out that the "card trick" sequence also counts the number of zero-quantum transitions of n coupled spin-1/2 nuclides. Go figure! Without the OEIS, I would have never made that discovery. For details, see the article Combinatorial Analysis of a Classic Card Trick.
