I retired in 2011 after a lifelong career which began in electronic device research, and morphed into circuit design, database programming, and finally software development. My primary expertise in now microcontroller-based design - particularly for MIDI-compatible devices, which often complements my ad-hoc work as a semi-professional piano accompanist. I have a broad range of interests in many technological, scientific, engineering, and mathematical areas; I also enjoy creating number, word, and logic puzzles, which I began posting on my Facebook page on a weekly basis in January 2018. I've had a handful of papers published in the professional literature, the most relevant of these to OEIS being the derivation and use of a set of explicit solutions to cubic polynomials employing hyperbolic functions.
