I am a retired mathematician. I graduated from the University of Adelaide in 1969 with first-class honours in applied mathematics and with a Ph.D. In game theory in 1974. A copy of my Ph.D. thesis, Differential Games with no Information, can be found here: https://digital.library.adelaide.edu.au/dspace/bitstream/2440/20473/2/02whole.pdf. From 1972 to 1974 I held a Queen Elizabeth II postdoctoral fellowship at the University of New South Wales, and was a lecturer in mathematics at the University of Melbourne from 1975 to 1985. In 1985 I joined the Australian Department of Defence as a mathematical consultant, mostly in the field of communications security and analysis and remained there until I retired in 2011.
