David is an atomic physicist and math enthusiast known for several contributions to the study of direct cooling of neutral molecules via Stark Deceleration (https://journals.aps.org/prresearch/abstract/10.1103/PhysRevResearch.2.033095), and to the use of single trapped ions for portable atomic clocks (https://www.nature.com/articles/s41586-020-2981-6). He is also the world's 200th solver of the 3x3x3x3 Rubik's cube (https://superliminal.com/cube/halloffame.htm). David first found the OEIS in high school but was reintroduced again thanks to a NYT piece from 5/21/2023.
