I received my Ph.D. in Mathematics from UCSD in 1974. A copy of my thesis can be found from this page: http://www.worldcat.org/oclc/17947467.

I taught Mathematics for a year at Univ. of Iowa. After which I took a job as a contractor building computer software/systems/databases primarily for various US Government agencies. I retired from that line of work in 2003.

In the Spring of 2004, I took a position as a Lecturer in the Computer Science department at Western Washington University (WWU). I retired as a Senior Lecturer Emeritus in the Spring of 2018. Here's my page on the CS department web site: https://cse.wwu.edu/computer-science/reedyc2.

I am currently retired. I enjoy working on puzzles and programs to solve puzzles.
