Angelo Dalli is a serial entrepreneur and an expert on Search Engine Technology and Artificial Intelligence. Angelo has over thirteen years of experience in IT consultancy and application development. He has worked with both small businesses and also Fortune 1000 companies, including working as Publication Executive for PC World with the International Data Group (IDG), the world’s largest IT publisher. Angelo has served as the Maltese team leader at the International Olympiads in Informatics in 2002 held at Seoul, South Korea and in 2004 held at Athens, Greece. Angelo is currently heading a variety of projects related to search engines and high performance transaction processing. Angelo has also successfully developed an Intelligent Transport System platform for a multi-million euro project related to next generation congestion charge systems, which is breaking new ground globally by allowing cities to manage their traffic levels using intelligent variable charging rules. Angelo holds a B.Sc. (Hons.) in IT from the University of Malta, an M.Sc. in Bioinformatics and Computational Linguistics, and a Ph.D. on Search Technology and Language Processing from the University of Sheffield, UK. Angelo sits on the board of directors of various entertainment and media companies. When Angelo is not creating cutting-edge technology, he enjoys photography, outdoor activities and travelling.
