The {{tlx}} template is a typing-aid template. Mnemonically {{tlx}} stands for 'Template Link eXpanded'. After {{tl}} which stands for Template Link'.

One difference is readability, compare {{Factorial}} and {{Factorial}} using {{tl|Factorial}} and {{tlx|Factorial}}, respectively. These templates are used to link to other templates in an intuitive way with curly braces. For more info about these templates visit wikipedia or meta. With {{tlx}} you can add up to 12 parameters separated by "|" escaping any "=" with "{{=}}".
