HERE PUT THE DRAFT FOR JUNE 5, 2012 AFTER TRANSIT OF VENUS (which won't occur again until the year 2117)

A171467: Years in which a transit of Venus (as seen from Earth) took place or is expected to occur, according to the catalog by Fred Espenak.

{ ... 2004, 2012, 2117, 2125, 2247, 2255, 2360, ... }

Tonight you can see a transit of Venus, but unless you live way past a hundred, this is your last chance to see one. Astronomy departments across the country will hold rooftop viewing parties. If the weather does not permit, you can still take advantage of the NASA live feed. But remember: DO NOT LOOK AT THE SUN DIRECTLY!!!
