Roots and powers
Nested tables seriously suck, for comparison (diff),
- current state
- draft state
For consistent row heights you need one table with 5 columns instead of two nested tables with 3+2 columns nested within a third pure layout table. Then you need the same solution on all Roots and Powers sections, or IOW, it should be a template.
Chrome is silly and breaks A-numbers at the hyphen/minus for unclear reasons (maybe constrained by your width:35% for the roots), [[A‑numbers|A‑numbers]]
works for me, U+2011 is "nbhy" (non-breaking hyphen). Yet another reason to put this Roots and Powers stuff in a template. –Frank Ellermann 01:51, 5 February 2018 (UTC)
- Speaking only for myself, I don't care about how these things look as long as the information is correct and accessible. But if you can make a good template, I'll be glad to help you change things over. Alonso del Arte 04:24, 5 February 2018 (UTC)
- The new draft state is the output of {{Rap}} with three sub-templates and twenty parameters, designed for minimally square roots + powers and maximally tenth roots + powers. The odd parameters are the number (1st) and the roots (3rd, etc.), the even parameters are the A-numbers of the powers (2nd) and the roots (4th, etc.).
- Maybe remove the section header and intro blurb from the template to get only the table, and/or add a caption
