Lagrange numbers

Lagrange numbers are numbers of the form ${\sqrt {9-{\frac {4}{m^{2}}}}}$, with $m$ being a Markov number. The first two Markov numbers are the square roots of 5 and 8. These are used in approximating irrational numbers with rational numbers.
