Help:Wiki mail

Wiki mail is a feature allowing to send e-mail to a registered user without showing the actual e-mail address. It can be enabled or disabled in the user preferences for a validated (confirmed) address. Users allowing Wiki mail might wish to add a link to the special page on their user page like this:

• [[Special:EmailUser/user |wiki mail]]
• [[Special:EmailUser/user |mailto:user ]]

This is rendered as wiki mail or mailto:WikiSysop for User:WikiSysop (example). Regular Wiki users generally prefer to use talk pages for open discussions either on User_talk: pages, or on the talk page for the relevant article. Long example suited for copy and paste on any user page:

or edit my [[User_talk:{{PAGENAMEE}}|talk page]] (explained on a [[Project:Project#User_pages|project page]]).
