Balanced quinary numeral system

The balanced quinary numeral system relates to the quinary numeral system in that it employs the powers of 5 as the radix (base), but instead of using the quinary digits 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 (common residues[1] modulo 5), it uses the balanced quinary digits 2, 1, 0, 1, 2 with value –2, –1, 0, +1, +2 (minimal residues[2] modulo 5).
