I was looking at your sequences A331115 and A331101 and had a question about one of the fractions. I have written a similar program which is more brute force in nature and does not use any geometric means but basically just searches for the next closest fraction to approximate any given limit such as could be found for pi in the sequences A063674 and A063673

Anyway the question I had for you is that the program I wrote had the fraction 577 / 408 but not the fraction 816 / 577. This is because the second fraction is no closer to √ 2 than the first. Both differ from the square root of 2 by the same amount but with different signs.
