The trigonometric functions are functions in trigonometry. The original trigonometric functions where the circular trigonometric functions, among which the most important ones are sine, cosine and tangent.
Most trigonometric functions are 1-argument functions, with the argument being an angle. In mathematics, angles are almost always measured in radians, but in most of the sciences, angles are measured in degrees.
