# Trigonometric functions

The **trigonometric functions** are functions in trigonometry. The original trigonometric functions where the circular trigonometric functions, among which the most important ones are sine, cosine and tangent.

Most trigonometric functions are 1-argument functions, with the argument being an angle. In mathematics, angles are almost always measured in radians, but in most of the sciences, angles are measured in degrees.
