What is a "pink box" comment?
From OeisWiki
The "pink box" comments (a.k.a., "pink" discussion boxes) of a sequence are for messages to the author, editors or other people. Examples of "pink box" comments include:
- asking for clarification of a definition
- pointing out that something is ambiguous or has been entered in the wrong subsection
- questions that need to be resolved before a sequence can be accepted
- any discussion that won't be part of the final stable version of the entry
- etc.
Pink box comments can be entered when editing a sequence or when reviewing the draft edits of a sequence.
The "Revision History" of a sequence is part of the public record, and includes all the comments made in the "pink boxes".
If a sequence is not being edited, you can see all the "pink box" comments for that sequence by performing the following steps:
- Log in to the OEIS.
- Enter the A-number.
- Click on the "history" tab. To see older "pink box" comments that are not on the page, click the "older changes" link.
