User talk:Antti Karttunen
I'm almost a total beginner with Wiki-editing, so please forgive the bad layout on my user-page!
- Dear Antti : you should convert all your links in your user page to A000001 Olivier Gérard 08:12, 30 March 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks Olivier, I will do that! (although tendinitis is slowing down my editing) Antti Karttunen 12:26, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
Testing: Toimiikohan täällä myös ö-kirjain, tai etiopialaiset numeraalit. (No toimiihan ne: A098378, samoin kuin riimut: A098476. Niin, Belgthor=ᛰ.
Testing, testing, testing:
(Ֆ,Գ)⤰(Ռ,Ց) ∘ (Ռ,Ց)⤰(Պ,Կ) = (Ֆ,Գ)⤰(Պ,Կ).
(ᛘ,ᛦ)⤰(ᛞ,ᛝ) ∘ (ᛞ,ᛝ)⤰(ᛮ,ᛯ) = (ᛘ,ᛦ)⤰(ᛮ,ᛯ).
(Ԅ,Ԉ)⫽(Ԋ,Ԏ)
Actually, syllabic scripts are better, because they naturally have two dimensions (consonant & vowel) that are useful for our mnemonic purposes. E.g. in Katakana:
* (sa,su)⤰(ma,mu) ∘ (ma,mu)⤰(ya,yu) = (sa,su)⤰(ya,yu).
* (サ,ス)⤰(マ,ム) ∘ (マ,ム)⤰(ヤ,ユ) = (サ,ス)⤰(ヤ,ユ).
* (ku,ko)⤰(ru,ro) ∘ (ru,ro)⤰(yu,yo) = (ku,ko)⤰(yu,yo).
* (ク,コ)⤰(ル,ロ) ∘ (ル,ロ)⤰(ユ,ヨ) = (ク,コ)⤰(ユ,ヨ).
* (ha,hi)⤰(pa,pi) ∘ (pa,pi)⤰(ba,bi) = (ha,hi)⤰(ba,bi).
* (ハ,ヒ)⤰(パ,ピ) ∘ (パ,ピ)⤰(バ,ビ) = (ハ,ヒ)⤰(バ,ビ).
However, in Ethiopic script the vowel-component is marked more transparently (actually, "productively" apart from a few exceptions):
* (bu,bi)⤰(du,di) ∘ (du,di)⤰(gu,gi) = (bu,bi)⤰(gu,gi).
* (ቡ,ቢ)⤰(ዱ,ዲ) ∘ (ዱ,ዲ)⤰(ጉ,ጊ) = (ቡ,ቢ)⤰(ጉ,ጊ).
* (le,lu)⤰(he,hu) ∘ (he,hu)⤰(ze,zu) = (le,lu)⤰(ze,zu).
* (ሌ,ሉ)⤰(ሔ,ሑ) ∘ (ሔ,ሑ)⤰(ዜ,ዙ) = (ሌ,ሉ)⤰(ዜ,ዙ).
* (le,lu)⤰(he,hu) ∘ (he,hu)⤰(be,bu) = (le,lu)⤰(be,bu).
* (ሌ,ሉ)⤰(ሔ,ሑ) ∘ (ሔ,ሒ)⤰(ቤ,ቡ) = (ሌ,ሉ)⤰(ቤ,ቡ).
- (ዴ,ዱ)⤰(ጌ,ጉ) ∘ (ጌ,ጉ)⤰(ፔ,ፑ) = (ዴ,ዱ)⤰(ፔ,ፑ).
