The template could set a category on all pages, where it is used: <includeonly>[[category:something ]]</includeonly>. –Frank Ellermann 15:06, 17 October 2017 (UTC)

Do you have any specific categories in mind? - Alonso del Arte 21:16, 17 October 2017 (UTC)
No, whatever you like and where you know a possible existing parent category. If I need a category on commons I often pick whatever works on enwiki. Silently, folks on commons don't like to be treated as some enwiki extension, it's an independent international WikiMedia project not limited to services for WikiMedia's wikipedias, let alone only enwiki. –Frank Ellermann 21:44, 17 October 2017 (UTC)

Roots and powers of 19

I'm abusing this template talk page for the not yet existing category with a category talk page: All Roots and powers of… tables have a last row with the sequence number of the powers in the last column. The other sequence numbers are shown in the third column. I intended to fix 19 based on whatever 17 does, but it's apparently a general issue. There are lots of ways to improve that, e.g., get rid of the last row everywhere, and put the powers in a caption, two examples:

A001029
4.35889894 A010475 19 2 361
2.66840164 A010591 19 3 6859
A001029 19n
4.35889894 A010475 19 2 361
2.66840164 A010591 19 3 6859

If you'd adopt that idea on all "number" pages you'd probably use some template {{roots and powers|A001029|19}} to create the table header + caption (right), or table header + first row (left). –Frank Ellermann 14:32, 13 November 2017 (UTC)
Meanwhile {{Rap}} with sub-templates {{Rap/row}}, {{Rap/power}}, and {{Rap/prettytable}} can handle up to tenth roots and powers. –Frank Ellermann 08:22, 7 February 2018 (UTC)
