Georges Louis Leclerc, Count of Buffon (French pronunciation: [ʒɔʁʒ lwi ləklɛʁ kɔ̃t də byfɔ̃]; 1707–1788) was a French naturalist, mathematician, cosmologist, and encyclopedic author.
