I completed my degree in Civil Engineering in 1980 and joined Indian Railway's in 1983 and has more than 35 years of extensive experience in various fields related to Railway sector. My interest in Number Recreations dates back to 1978, when my first paper "Miracles of Last Digit" was published in Indian magazine Junior Science Digest. Since then my contribution have been published in Science Reporter, Science Today, Math Education, American Mathematical monthly (USA), Mathematical Gazette (UK), Math. Spectrum (UK), Scientia Magna (USA) etc. Some of the international books where my contribution can be seen are: (i)Unsolved problems in Number theory by R.K.Guy (springer, USA). (ii) The Universal book of Mathematics by David J. Darling , 2004. (John Wiley & Sons). (iii) The Penguin dictionary of Curious and interesting numbers by David Wells (Penguin books, UK). (iv) The most Mysterious Figures in math: “Prime Numbers”: by David Wells (John Wiley & Sons), (v) “Prime curios”, the Dictionary of Prime number trivia by Caldwell and honaker (create Space ,2009). (vi) Those Fascinating numbers by Jean-Marie De Koninck (American Mathematical Society) and many others. My interest includes developing different algorithms/code using different programming languages like Fortran, c++, Ubasic, , Mathematica , GP_Pari etc. so as to reduce the computing time. My other interest includes computational number theory, Prime polynomials, Rare Numbers, Strong Pseudoprimes, Unique numbers, triangular numbers, smith numbers, Prime numbers, number recreations etc.
I have designed and maintained my website “” since 2001 on Number Recreations. The site has been very popular and is being visited by visitors from more than 150 countries. The reference to website can be seen in many international books and other popular websites.
I am the co-author of the book ‘Civil Engineering through Objective Questions” published in 1985 by CBS Publishers, New Delhi I have published more than 20 papers in National and International journals, especially on number recreations.

My some of the discoveries are EPORNs ( Equal Product Of Reversible Numbers) , Rare Numbers , amicable and magic factorions , Happy and Harshad Amicable Pairs, Unique numbers , Cab Numbers and so on, refer

The Paper “ Prime Generating Polynomials” by Ed Pegg Jr., (July 17, 2006) in ( ), mentioned about my discovery of best fifth order prime generating polynomial. I have contributed more than 1200 Prime Curios to with second rank in the list of Top Ranked Curio Submitters.

I have contributed more than 650 Integer Sequences to The On-Line Encyclopedia of Integer Sequences® (OEIS®)
