I am an all time Big Fan of the OEIS I contributed several sequences over the years mostly related to subgroups of the modular group and combinatorial maps.

Nice story : during my Phd I computed the number of triangular maps on Riemann surfaces and by entering the sequence I have found, I discovered that 1) this interpretation of the sequence was new and 2) more interestingly, that there was another interpretation for that sequence, namely the asymptotics of the Airy function. This lead me and my collaborator to publish the following paper:

Counting Rooted and Unrooted Triangular Maps S. Vidal, M. Petitot. http://cafemath.fr/articles/VidalPetitot09-1.pdf Published in Journal of Nonlinear Systems and Applications. Volume 1, Number 1-2, Pages 51-57, 2010.

This couldn't have happened without the OEIS :-)
