Omran Kouba obtained his "License and Maîtrise" in Mathematics from the University of Paris 11(Orsay, currently: Sacley) in 1984, and He obtained his PhD from the University of Paris 6(Pierre et Marie Curie, currently: Sorbonne) in 1990 in Functional Analysis under the supervision of Prof. Gilles Pisier.

Since 1990 he works as a researcher and a professor of Mathematics at the Higher Institute for Applied Sciences and Technology, Damascus, Syria. His research include topics in Mathematical Inequalities, Complex and Classical Analysis, Proposing and Solving Mathematical Problems.
