Having studied applied physics some years ago, I am now working in the industry with emphasis on optics and machine vision. From time to time I encounter challenging mathematical problems with originate from very practical projects but then start to develop independently of their application. I am glad to having been able to solve many of them and contribute some results to the OEIS. I live in Germany and am recently quite interested in tournament design.
