JT Rowell is an applied mathematician whose primary work involves modeling biological systems (ecology, behavior, evolution, cell dynamics, communication). He has received degrees from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, North Carolina State University, and Cornell University (PhD, 2003). He is currently affiliated with the Biology Department of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a Visiting Scholar (formerly, as a postdoctoral research associate).
