I retired as Professor of Mathematics at the City University of New York in 2009 after 28 years of teaching (at two different institutions) and 15 years spent at IBM. My main areas of mathematical interest are classical analysis (in which sequences and series play an important role) and number theory (likewise). I have a particular fondness for Catalan numbers, binomial coefficients, and inequalities. I have been a journal problem section aficionado for over 50 years and currently tackle problems in about a dozen journals (online and print) from the US, Canada, the UK, Ireland, and Kosovo. I have owned a copy of The Encyclopedia of Integer Sequences since 1995 and I hope to contribute sequences and comments to OEIS from time to time.
