Then assistant prof.at the Univ. of Linz, Austria, since 1974 associate professor, since 1997 full professor. One-semester-stays at the Univ. of Southw. Louisiana (1983), Texas A&M Univ. (1984), longer stays (more than a month) at the universities in Hobart (Tasmania), Tainan, Taiwan (Cheng Kung), Zibo, China (Shandong Univ. of Technology), etc. 2003 honorary doctorate from the Ural State University in Ekaterinburg, Russia.
