I am an engineer with experience in applied mathematics, computation, and fluid mechanics. My PhD in engineering is from the University of Delaware, 1978; I studied stability in fluid mechanics for my dissertation I have a small number of published papers, e.g. Slow Interactions of Gravity Waves and a Corrugated Sea Bed, Journal of Applied Mechanics, 1984. I have a DIIT in applied mathematics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, 1971 (the DIIT was a one year program, roughly a Master's but with a thesis that required about one month of work).

I am not a professional mathematician but I have had interest and exposure to pure and applied mathematics--e.g., I took a number of graduate level courses in mathematics while at the University of Delaware (real analysis, two courses in partial differential equations, theory of distributions).

My website is www.horizons-2000.org (it is not a mathematics site).
