Andy Edwards is Australian. He taught maths in State secondary schools in country Victoria between 1974 and 1998 and moved to Queensland in 1999 where he taught in non-Government schools until mid-2004. Since then he has written mathematical test items for the Queensland Studies Authority. He has written maths resource material and problems for the Australian Maths Trust, the Australian Maths and Sciences Institute and ICE-EM, the AAMT and various other publishers including Macmillan and Pearsons. He presented at most of the Maths Association of Victoria annual December Conferences during the 1990s and was a Keynote Speaker in 1997. In 2001 he received a Bernard Neumann Award from the Australian Maths Trust for his work with Bruce Henry on the Maths Challenge for Young Australians, a committee of which he was a founding member in 1991 and continues to serve on. He has made several contributions to the OEIS since 2002 including the closed sets O'Halloran Numbers and Lynch-Bell Numbers. He married Genevieve in 1977 and they have two sons, David and Kane, and a daughter-in-law, Ingrid.
