Alex Zorach has a B.A. in Mathematics from Oberlin College (2002), an M.S. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Delaware (2007), and an M.A. in Statistics from Yale University (2008). His research interests are diverse, and his mathematical work spans areas from ecology to musical tunings. In mathematics, he is particularly interested in networks, and also in elegant elementary presentations of material at all levels. He has worked both in academia and in business, where he has worked designing databases and as a statistical consultant. He currently runs RateTea.net and Cazort.net. Outside of mathematics, he is interested in religion, politics, economics, dance, and birdwatching. He is an active contributor to eBird.
