When expressing the standard uncertainty of the measured value of a physical constant, a concise notation is sometimes used. In this notation, the numerical value of the standard uncertainty appears in parentheses after the measured value of the constant. For example, the expression 1234.56789(11) corresponds to a value of 1234.56789 +- 0.00011.
