Template:Tn

From OeisWiki
Jump to: navigation, search

The {{tn}} typing-aid template, which mnemonically stands for Template Name (or No link), is used to display a template name (no link) surrounded by braces, thus showing how the template would be used in code, and it uses a proportional font. Its primary use is in instruction and documentation. For more info about these templates visit wikipedia or meta (Wikipedia uses {{tlf}}, our {{tn}} seems better mnemonically). With {{tn}} you can add up to 12 parameters and interwiki links separated by "|", escaping any "=" with "{{=}}".

Usage

{{tn|Template name}}

or

{{tn|Template name|param1|...|param12}}

Examples

Use {{tn|Factorial|5}} when talking about

{{Factorial|5}} to get

Use {{tn|URL|http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uniform_resource_locator#Absolute_and_relative_URLs|fragment ID}} when talking about

{{URL|http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uniform_resource_locator#Absolute_and_relative_URLs|fragment ID}} to get

When the template name contains an equals sign, use {{=}} instead of =
