The {{citation error}} citation template produces an error message to be displayed in citation templates, and categorizes the page as having a broken citation.

Usage

This template uses two unnamed parameters

• First parameter: message
• Second parameter (optional): the template name (it will automatically be wikilinked)

and the (optional) named parameter

• nocat = true

The {{para}} template can be used to show parameters.

All pages will show the error message. Main, help and template pages will be placed into Category:Articles with incorrect citation syntax unless |nocat=true.
