Is there an "OEIS Official symbol"?
I removed the following (I've seen this information somewhere before, but I've been told that this not the case...)
Is there an "OEIS Official symbol"?— Daniel Forgues 16:31, 13 December 2012 (UTC)
- No. This was a misinterpretation of a line in Index to OEIS: Section Mo:
- Moebius function: the official symbol in the OEIS is mu (see A008683), not MoebiusMu nor mobius, etc.
- which says that this symbol is written "mu", not that it symbolizes the OEIS.
- Now there is an official logo, of course, which you can see here: http://oeisf.org/logo.png

- Thanks for telling me. I should have thought better!— Daniel Forgues 23:56, 14 December 2012 (UTC)
- No problem, it might have been any of us who had misread it that way. Charles R Greathouse IV 04:52, 15 December 2012 (UTC)
