Talk:Index to OEIS: Section Mat
From OeisWiki
IMHO the page would gain much readability by "condensing" a little the "Matula-Göbel numbers" and "McKay-Thompson ..." sections (grouping several (or at least two) lines together; but I know that this is not always appreciated, so I wait for confirmation from other Editor(s). — MFH 15:46, 25 May 2017 (UTC)
Reply from N. J. A. Sloane, May 25 2017. I agree that those index entries are very long. But when I use the McKay-Thompson index, I find it very helpful to see the full list in detail. So I like the detailed list. When you need the information, we give it. So I would prefer to leave the entries the way there are now.
- Without removing any detail, the information would as easy if not easier to find in a better ("table") format; e.g., put NNNa, NNNb, NNNc in one row, for example:
McKay-Thompson series of class 001A: A000521, A007240, A014708; class 001a: A154272 :: class 002A: A007241, A007267, A045478, A101558; class 002a: A007242 :: class 002B: A007191, A007246, A045479; class 002b: A154272 :: class 003A: A007243, A030197, A045480; class 003B: A007244, A030182, A045481
