Noncomposite numbers are numbers that are not composite numbers. Among the integers, this means zero, the units 1 and –1, and the prime numbers.

Positive noncomposite numbers are listed in A008578, prime numbers at the beginning of the 20th century (today 1, a unit, is no longer regarded as a prime.)
