The Genji-Kô symbols indicate possible groupings and subgroupings of five elements. They are named after the chapters of Lady Murasaki's 11th-century novel "Tale of Genji". For the combinatorialist they represent set partitions. The 41 symbols displayed have at least one standalone element.
