Subcategories

Maybe all those empty subcategories, e.g., category:Keyword eigen, should be deleted, they don't help for simple searches, simple searches typically don't consider categories. I've created redirections to Clear-cut examples of keywords sections, that should help for simple searches. The existing pages base and sign are of course fine, for the corresponding keywords I created base (keyword) and sign (keyword) to get all keywords sorted alphabetically by name into category:keywords. –Frank Ellermann 06:43, 13 October 2017 (UTC)

Meanwhile I emptied and blanked three unnecessary categories, maybe that is good enough to delete (or ignore) them:

1. category:Classifications of sequences by keyword‎, because category:keywords is now directly a child of category:Classifications_of_sequences, auto-sorted K.
2. Category:Obsolete keywords contained the (empty+unused, see above) category:Keyword dupe+category:Keyword probation.
3. Category:OEIS maintenance keywords contained six other empty+unused keyword sub-categories. The complete list, obsolete or otherwise, exists in several articles including Clear-cut examples of keywords, and at the moment category:keywords still has all empty+unused category:Keyword … subcategories.

For empty read no members, the interesting intro texts still exist, and untrue in two cases, where some user-pages somehow/erroneously ended up in keyword categories. –Frank Ellermann 00:01, 15 October 2017 (UTC)

Quick plausibility check: 32 keyword sub-categories, 37 pages minus 2 intro texts minus 1 bogey is 34, the "new" (2014) keywords hear and look never got a keyword category. –Frank Ellermann 00:14, 15 October 2017 (UTC)
